Fitch is a mixed media, figurative artist. She resides in North Richland Hills, TX.  Fitch’s artwork explores events from the past, some from her own memories and others from history. Life can be defined by memories and how they are processed.

Inspired by apprenticing at a tailoring shop in his teen years, much of his paintings are inspired by clothing design. Every painting has its own personality and carries that is unified through the techniques that Hunter Connor uses in all his artwork.

If oils, I will mix colors, paint with a palette knife until my energy is spent.  At times, I become frenetic- my coffee or water forgotten for hours. Constantly moving away and around, even above the piece to take it in - think, absorb and let the process dictate.  The serendipity is what draws me in and holds me.  The painting itself takes over telling me what’s next.  Then, I’ll move to gesso new boards and canvases, sketching other works, applying resin to completed pieces.  If abstracts, oil or mixed media, I layer texture with gloved hands- next day will be colors.  This continues almost as a dance- very physical day after day, layer after layer until she decides she’s done.”

Travel continues to influence her world view and imbues her art with energy. Her works are in private and corporate collections in the United States, South America, and Asia.

For me, art is the fullest expression of my personality, the outer workings of the inner musings being released onto canvas.  Working in an abstract expressionistic style, each painting has a unique and one-off character to it. Using different media for contrast and texture, I am drawn to bold colors that explode onto the canvas in an eruption of emotion and passion.

Working mainly in large scale abstract mixed media paintings, I create using many different mediums including Oil, Acrylic, Resin, Pouring Medium, Gold Leaf, canvas on canvas, and other repurposed materials.   I am always looking for new ways to add depth and texture and mainly apply paint using a large palette knife to give a heavy impasto style texture.   I also love working with repurposed materials such as leftover canvas scraps and house paints. 

With a background in architecture, real estate and design, I blend my love for design with abstract artwork, creating modern and contemporary artwork that work in many different styles of homes and commercial properties.

About The Artist:

Lina Alattar is a Northern Virginia-based artist. Growing up in several cultures and environments, she became attuned to the rhythms and flow of each place.  One by one, these influences make their way into her paintings, as they become the visual and energetic basis of her artistic practice.

Lina’s painting process is deeply influenced by 5Rhythms, a dance philosophy based on movement, creativity and connections. These five rhythms are Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness. Using acrylic paint, each painting starts by pouring foundational color fields. From there she transitioned into staccato and chaos, inviting expansive movements and brushstrokes. With deep observation, she shifts to the lyrical stage of the process, by looking for patterns and cycles. This leads her to the final stage, stillness, a surrendered state of being with her work. 

The synthesis of her life’s travels and curiosity connects her to a dynamic yet lyrical quality of my work; and like a dance, it becomes the roadmap to everywhere she wants to go.

Jessica was introduced to plastic arts at a very young age in her hometown school in  

Chihuahua, Mexico. Early on, she began experimenting with a variety of painting and  

drawing techniques.  

As a young artist, she moved to Monterrey to more deeply pursue her interests in the arts. She  

earned a bachelor’s degree at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de  

Monterrey, while simultaneously continuing her artistic studies. 

In 2001, she moved to Dallas to expand her art skills, experiment with different techniques,  

materials, textures and search for personal growth as an artist. Since moving to Texas,  

Jessica has been featured in multiple art exhibitions and has been recognized by local and  international organizations as an artist showcasing her multi-cultural background and  experiences in her artwork.
